Planning Enforcement Notices/Stop Notices

The Council issues Enforcement Notices where, in the opinion of the Council, harmful unauthorised development has taken place and prior discussions have not resulted in the rectification of the breach of control.

Please see the Government website which gives fuller details regarding Planning Enforcement.

Enforcement Notices served since January 2013 can be found either by finding the Enforcement Number in the Enforcement Register spreadsheet using the link in Further Information, then searching by Enforcement Number in the 11/11/0150 record  number or you may be able to find an Enforcement Notice if a planning application has been made on the address by searching on the address in the Search Planning Applications page.

To check if an Enforcement Notice has been served on a particular address prior to 2013, please download the Register of Enforcement notices document using the link in Further Information. This spreadsheet also includes Enforcement Notices issued since August 2013 on a separate tab.
