Recruitment of Independent Persons
Vacancies are advertised in the local press and those interested must submit a written application. They will then go through an interview and selection process, before being appointed at a meeting of the full Council.
The Council look for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- knowledge of Hyndburn, preferably gained from living or working in the area;
- experience or knowledge of local government or other public service;
- being active in the community or working with voluntary bodies in the area
