Standing as a Candidate
To stand for election, you need to complete a nomination paper and get two people from the ward where you are a candidate to sign it.
You must also complete a candidate’s consent to nomination, sign it and have it witnessed by someone.
To stand as a candidate for a political party you must have the written permission of that party.
