The Election Campaign
The election campaign follows a 35 day timetable, working backwards from Election Day.
If you wish to promote your campaign by publishing leaflets you must include the name of the printer and publisher, failure to do so is an offence under election law.
As a candidate, you must declare how much money you spend on your campaign, there is a limit which is currently £600 plus 5p per name on the Register of Electors for the Ward in which you stand for election.
Expenses are not reclaimable or paid for by Hyndburn Borough Council.
A return and declaration of election expenses must be submitted after the election.
