Get Help with… Pension Credit

Pension Credit is separate to the State Pension, and you may still be eligible if you own your home or have savings. People who are eligible for Pension Credit can also get other financial help such as help with heating costs, housing benefit and a free TV licence for over 75s.

How to claim:

Pension credit can be applied for by telephone using the following numbers:

  • Telephone: 0800 99 1234
  • Textphone: 0800 169 0133

To apply by post, print out and fill in the Pension Credit claim form or call the claim line to request a form.

Send the claim form to the Pension Service, or ask someone to do it for you.
