Brookside is already a beloved community asset, and restoration of the site will support a wide range of sustainable activities. Alongside their positive climate impacts, the activities at Brookside will deliver benefits including improved physical and mental health, stronger community cohesion, and enhanced connection to nature.
This will include:
- Climate positive volunteer activities
- Creation of accessible circular routes, permissive bridleways, and a brand new multi user route along Lottice Brook
- Free events, celebrations, and community festivals on site
- Creation of engaging digital resources such as the virtual reality tour
